They asked me to animate the logo based on the concept of a simplified zoetrope. For those of you who aren't familiar with a zoetrope, look it up, pretty interesting stuff. I love film titles, and this was a good break from normal commercial work. Their creative team chose this concept because they thought the literalness of the idea could be understood by almost any audience. The motion tests I created for this pitch is what actually won L+C the job. It was one of my first victories in the professional world, and I had fun doing it. I vowed that one day I would steal these beautifully detailed drawings and reconfigure them into my own artwork. I finally found the time to take on the project, and designed my own architectural drawings by manipulating pieces of the originals. The overlying concept is driven by ideas and actions that I firmly believe in. The project began in winter of 2011 and is still a work in progress.
