Square One is a study of the sound potential of an object, its process and findings being one and the same.
During circa thirty minutes, I scratch the surface of the diversity of sounds that a single found object, more precisely a metallic square, recuperated from disposal, can produce.
The knowledge that I draw from this experiment is directly transfered to a bigger counciousness than that of my own: that of the audience.
By travelling along the thin lines that separate ordinary sound from music, and scientific research from theater, I enjoy the intrinsic qualities of an object that would otherwise be of no further use.
