The projects Vasco da Gama's Timeline and Tangitable, are two immersive interactive installations designed for the Vasco da Gama's House Museum.

I was responsable for the interactive/UI/UX design, integrated in a team at Ydreams.



Vasco da Gama's Timeline
Interactive timeline installation that shows the most significant events of Vasco da Gama's life. This project consists of four large scale screens joined with an interaction surface of disposed capacitive sensors. The interface and industrial design are connected by vertical lines representing the most significant dates of the life line of the navigator. The content is revealed by touching the date, circle sensors over the horizontal surface.



Tangitable
The Past of Vasco da Gama's achievements, discovering new worlds and new cultures and the Present of his birthplace, Sines, an influential location for world music, and host of the International World Music Festival - FMM Sines, is the concept of this interactive installation. Displayed on a large-scale touchscreen table and two projections, an interactive map highlighting the path of Vasco da Gama to India enables visitors to travel to different places and cultures through short views of the concerts from FMMSines.
