These photos were taken a few years ago in the days around New Years Eve. I was back in Melbourne for a couple of weeks and it was hot. Can’t-sleep-at-night hot. At midnight the temperature was still over 40 degrees. We spent most afternoons sitting in my friend Chris’ back yard drinking beer, listening to music and cooling our feet in buckets of ice water. Later we’d go to the pub and eat veal parma’s that were bigger than our heads.
