Uncle Skeleton - Pancho Chumley
Uncle Skeleton - Pancho Chumley
While I am in no way responsible for the music contained within I am responsible for the 'release' of this record, as the debut from yk records. Uncle Skeleton is the solo endeavor of Ross Wariner - one half of the creative force behind the band Kindercastle. The music has a myriad of influences - ranging from disco, funk, ELO, 80's pop, soul, R&B, dance music and Brian Eno - but blends them all quite pleasantly. For me, the music sort of embodies a slow summer day - the type of day I rather enjoy - it starts off very upbeat and energetic and then slowly retreats to a much more mellow vibe.
Ross's brother, Jason Severs, put together the cover art and I laid out the typography / tracklisting / CD art.
I was also responsible for setting up a website, a myspace and a Bandcamp (all seen below).
Releasing record is a project that I've been wanting to be involved in for a long time and this project was the perfect way to start things off.
