Habitat Studies
In these series of ubiquitous habitat studies, I start with very restrictive rules and in each step open up to more freedoms of space and movement. My focus is on studying the space and form of movements and actions.
Tentative Architecture is a larger scope of ubiquitous habitats, involving multiple organisms. It is an architecture that can happen at any point in space. It is also an architecture that is immediately related to the body and does not exist without the presence of one.
_u/h #01
Architecture is reduced to a personal scale, represented as a garment. This architecture is restricted to one type of a specific series of movements. It holds tension and relaxation of body to space, as well as the constricting and expanding qualities of space.
_u/h #02
Architecture is reduced to a personal scale, represented as a body cocoon. This architecture holds finite and restricted positions. Growth of the form allows more and more positions, culminating in a form that is formless, yet holds all forms in precise locations and positions.
_u/h #03
Architecture is reduced to a managable scale, represented as connecting individual cocoons. This architecture hold infinite, individual forms which can connect to other endlessly formed cocoons, creating an extensive network of architectures. Though formless, this architecture both defines the space of the body/ies and is defined by the body.
_u/h #04/_t/a #01
Architecture is represented as a field, tentatively formless, tentatively formed by the immediate interaction with the body.
_u/h #05/_t/a #02
Architecture is represented as a field, tentativelt formless, tentatively formed by the mere presence of the body.
_u/h #06/_t/a #03
Architecture is defined by immaterials: natural phenomenon. heat / cold / light / wind / sound / magnetism / emotions / knowledge / ...
_u/h #07/_t/a #04
Architecture is defined by immaterials: invisible technologies and infrastructures. electricity / wifi / infra red / ultra violet / ...
