Other Earth Artifact III / treePod
 /  (1 of 7)

Your can own your very own Other Earth treePod!

treepod is a rare artifact from the parallel universe of Other Earth where temporality of body and materials are sources of beauty. In Other Earth, architecture is redefined as the sky to be the ceiling and the broken blades of grass the boundaries of one's space. In this dimension of Earth, our everyday World, treepod is a place to meditate and reflect over the day, our thoughts and ideas or to just chill (as Anthony my friend who works in the felt factory said, "Man, I just want to hide from my wife and take my beer in here with me!"). treepod it meant for outdoor use, hanging from a good tree, but can be used inside if proper anchoring is provided.

Materials: 1/8" 100% Industrial pressed wool felt, cotton-silk thread, Manila rope

Here in This Earth, I make home anywhere I find open WiFi access points. I stay until the network is available or until my battery allows. I recharge using any available public power outlet (public libraries provide APs and power). I wrote some of my Master's thesis in my personalPod, at random outdoor locations in Los Angeles, to prove the traditional perception of work space (and built architecture in general) is nonsense. I could possibly do without the pod, but in current society, it is less suspicious than sitting on someone's front lawn because it looks "neat" (as one passerby pointed out).
