For their 125th anniversary, the Detroit Institute of Arts asked our class to present ideas for the invitation. The invitations would be mailed to frequent donors and had to feel a little permanent.
The cover was made of sheet metal, with an abstract die cut to represent the 125 years of art & culture in the DIA. Inside was a vellum overlay, explaining the importance of patrons in the past, present, and future of art. The inside includes Diego Rivera's mural along with a programs and details of the celebration.
