THE WEATHER, a video and sculpture installation by Laura Wing, Matthew Spencer and Alisha Adams exploring the intersection of research and myth.

Myth is not defined by the object of its message, but by the way in which it utters this message.

Everything can be a myth.
Myth is a meeting place. It is a framework for, a speaking of.
Nature is not an accuracy. Nature is your nature, and myth refers to something in you.
What we don't know supports what we do know.

Observation produces narrative.
Say that the limits of language are the world's limits and that when I speak I limit the world, I finish it.
The researcher narrows the world in order to extract information from natural phenomena.
Research, like any ritual, is a performance that enacts our limitations.

The universe is infinitely fertile in suggestions.
