Semblance addresses the separation and abstraction that is innate in digital forms of communication, specifically Skype. While the convenience of staying in touch with far away friends and family is becoming more prominent, the nature of these interactions are often distorted. Mediated by our technologies these moments are situated within a small window that exists among many other stimulants and may be interrupted at any time due to external distractions and technology failures. Semblance addresses these disruptions through capturing the moments when abstraction is most evident.
