To coincide with the launch LG's new line of Android-based mobile phones, we held an internet-wide scavenger hunt by hiding "powerups" across a variety of popular sites like Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist and RedFlagDeals. The look and feel of the site where to be based on the videogames of old, and and a result the illustrations and motion graphics pieces had to reflect that.
How-to Video:
This how to video was meant to be a quick and dirty instructional video and how to play the Power Up Your Life contest. I was responsible for everything from character design to animation and sound.
Character Design:
To compliment the user-created avatar, I was asked to create several characters to populate the world in which the website took place.
Powerups:
Below is a small portion of over 140 powerups created for this contest. Each hidden somewhere on the internet waiting to be found.
Youtube Header Concept:
One of the major advertisement spots was the main header of Youtube. This was one of the concepts featuring the How-To-Play Video.
