VP, Executive Creative Director, Experience Design, New York

As VP, executive creative director, Tim leads and manages R/GA’s global experience design department of more than 100 world-class designers. He helps them focus on creating compelling user-centered experiences that influence behaviors and add value to people’s lives. Tim has been working in digital media for more than a decade and is uniquely positioned for this role given his deep roots and expertise in systematic design and extending product experiences into the digital space.

Tim’s work has been recognized by the industry with several of its most esteemed awards, including multiple Cannes Cyber Lions, D&AD, International ANDY Gold, and several One Show awards. In 2012, Tim was named One Club | ADCOLOR Creative of the year, a tribute honoring and celebrating diversity in advertising. He also played a key role on the award-winning R/GA team that created Nike+ GPS, the second iteration of the running platform named Campaign of the Decade by Adweek magazine. His work on the Nike Women’s Training Club was chosen as the best interactive design of the year and was featured in the 2010 Communication Arts Interactive Annual. His work on Nike+ Active was featured by Steve Jobs at the 2009 Apple Macworld keynote.

Prior to R/GA, Tim led experience design at SapientNitro, ensuring creative quality across global accounts at the largest independent interactive advertising agency in the world. While at Adobe earlier, Tim directed experience design for products including Creative Suite 3 and 4 and Acrobat Reader 9 and 10. He also helped drive the conception of new products like Acrobat.com, Flash Media Server, and Acrobat Connect (formerly Macromedia Breeze).

Through innovative work with Adobe, Red Hat, and IBM, Tim holds seven patents related to software design, ranging from chat interface modeling to mobile device synchronization. He received a master’s in industrial design from North Carolina State University.
