In the past, the translucent trend, especially in terms of shoes, has almost exclusively been worn by dancers of the exotic variety. Lately though, translucence has breeched the confines of raincoats and jellies, and moved onto the runway. Clear heels and see-through cut-outs are everywhere this season, always tastefully done (minimal toe-cleavage unavoidable), and I can't say I'm not digging it.
