Who Is KK Downey?
is a 2008 feature film made by Kidnapper Films in Montreal, QC ,starring Darren Curtis, Pat Kiely, Matt Silver, & Scott Thompson (of Kids in The Hall). John Anderson of Variety Magazine called it "the real thing... A truly funny movie."

I was responsible for the West Coast press for the film's theatrical debut. The challenge was to leverage existing contacts within the press to promote the film on an extremely limited budget. The campaign was successful, and resulted in coverage in a wide variety of outlets, including The Vancouver Sun, The Georgia Strait, Beatroute Magazine, to name a few.

As well, I was the creator and co-producer of the Who Is KK Downey? KKcast (mp3 format), a mock-radio show featuring the film's two principal characters hosting a college radio show that took place prior to the events in the film. Realizing that the film's unique soundtrack (featuring Miracle Fortress, CFCF, Duchess Says, and many other highly-touted indie rock acts) was a major drawing point, but wouldn't be commercially available, it was decided that the best way to maximize the high visibility of the bands would be to create a radio show, featuring the songs, and allowing us to cross-promote to an audience and target demographic that might not be reached by conventional film PR means.

Naked Josh (IMDB)
was a Canadian television series broadcast on Showcase. The show starred David Julian Hirsh as Josh Gould, a university professor in Montreal who, although he teaches a sexual anthropology course, struggles to understand the ever-shifting rules and expectations of the dating scene. The show was also broadcast on Oprah's The Oyxgen Network, and in Spain, Brazil, France and Israel.

For Season 3, I was responsible for music supervision and (in conjunction with the series composer) placement. The challenge was to add a unique Montreal flavour to the series while still maintaining the high production standards of the series, keeping the costs within the budget, and adding to the dramatic tension and over-all energy of the show. Artists involved included Malajube, Call Me Poupee, Tiga, The Breastfeeders, the Golden Dogs, & The Sunday Sinners; the latter of which appeared performing one of their songs in an episode.
