The Neediest Robot Ever
The Neediest Robot Ever was a Physical Computing internal project at welikesmall that utilized sensors, a Phidget, a database, and a website that all communicated with each other to keep tabs on our Coffee Machine. Sensors hooked up to the Coffee Machine collect information about how often coffee is made vs. how many times the Coffee Machine is serviced (ie: refilling the water & adding beans). This project taught me a lot about Phidgets, Sensors, Soldering, LEDs, Circuitry, and everything that is involved in a physical computing project.
The Website & Database took information from the sensors and translated it into practical information such as when we are drinking coffee, what we're drinking specifically, and when we are tending to the coffee machine. It also calculated the overall efficiency of the coffee machine based on how many cups of coffee we got vs. the amount of services provided to the machine.
