Peer Gynt
Adapted from Henrik Ibsen by Four Larks
November - December 2010. The Little Bakery, Melbourne Australia.
Upon the skeletons of local folklore, Peer Gynt builds himself a story that spans continents real and imagined.
Ibsen's famously unstageable epic is dreamt anew as Four Larks' acclaimed ensemble embark upon the journey of one of literature's most notorious anti-heroes.
This manic, musical ride leaps through Norway's forests to the Kingdom of Trolls, from the deserts of Egypt to the waters of the Pacific,
featuring a singing statue, a house of madmen and a man who moulds souls into buttons.
