In the technocratic world we live in today, money and tangible aspirations continue to control our day-to-day interactions.
My photoset is an attempt to remind us of the intangible things we often lose sight of—the togetherness and joy of family and friends spending time together during Chinese New Year, through the most tangible of objects and fare commonly present during the festivities.
In old times, tribes-people prayed to their gods or totems for good fortune, to pay respects to them or to ask of something. I chose to depict the most primitive image of hope and belief through this painting. This painting is a reminder to myself to always remain hopeful and optimistic in life.

For this typography and layout project, I chose to promote the element of surprise you'd experience each time you visit Singapore Art Museum (or any museum, for that matter). I made an A2 poster and a 6-page brochure, which folds out into A3 size.

I hid photographs of the museum's interior as well as past exhibitions within the letters of the words, to fit my theme of not revealing the surprise.
All content used is my own, including the logo, which is made up of a few extended variations in different weights of Helvetica Neue LT Com.

For this project, I made a series of 6 postcards to urge people to rediscover the joy and spontaneity of film photography for casual purposes.
I vectored a few images and used other photographs and scanned images from my own film collection. The Lomography logo was taken from lomography.com.
I was tasked with creating a TIME magazine cover based on an article. I chose to use the May 3, 2010 cover article "The 50th Anniversary of The Pill" by Nancy Gibbs for my design.
The article discusses the controversy and history of the Oral Contraceptive Pill. I was fascinated by the various facts I learnt about in the article, and how the pill could mean so many different things not only to women, but to a wife, her husband and family, friends, the country and society, and the earth as a whole.
I chose to depict this through the use of different colours of the pills. Each colour was painted in watercolour and salt was added to give a grainy surface seen on pills. I employed an isometric grid system. I put a woman at eye level with the pills, in contemplation of whether she should use the pill or not. She is seen looking at the pills of various colours, which represent the different outcomes the pill would bring to her whether she takes it or not.
I used watercolour and salt, and digital manipulation.
