This is a website I created for my wedding coming up this summer. It is primarily typography and grid based and follows the style of the invitations and other pieces of the wedding. When Darcie and I first started dating we constantly made mixtapes for each other, always trying to one up the other. The reason we met even goes back to our love of music and involvement in our local punk rock scene. Because of all this we thought a mixtape themed wedding would be perfect. As far as the site is concerned that means pulling quotes from some of our favorite love songs (clicking on them let's you stream the whole song with some fancy javascript) and a downloadable mix we're putting together for our guests. Some other cool things with the site include using @font-face to display League Gothic (from the League of Movable Type), pulling in a Twitter feed where we talk about the engagement process, integrating Google Maps to help our guests find the location right in the site and an RSVP form that allows our guests to respond on the site without having to waste any paper or postage.
