Table for Tamales

A table for tamales, inspired by the idea that the tamal is a plate with his own plate, and even his own packaging. This table may seem like a common table, but the plates are “painted” on their surface of the table and in the center is a small container where you throw the cornhusks after eating. This table does not need physical dishes, only glasses, cutlery and utensils, creating not only a larger space on the surface, but also energy savings. It use avoids the consumption of disposable plates and center container saves cleaning time.

Desierto Quin

The perceived need to increase healthy foods consumption in our Mexican population, results to Desierto Quin.
This is a product that integrates various elements that together create a reflexive, playful and contemplative object. Desert Quin is inspired by the traditional Japanese garden or Zen Garden, taken to a Mexican desert. Its purpose is to encourage the consumption of nutritious foods, like fruit and vegetable with chili pepper (chile piquín) very popular between Mexicans. This chili is commonly consumed with cucumbers, jicama, carrots, watermelons, mangoes, corn, etc..

		<description>MexiPot
Tableware for mexican food

MexiPot º arises from a perceived need. The necessary elements to adequately serve traditional Mexican food require many small objects, tools and instruments, and that takes up a lot of space on the table.

Mexico is a country with centuries of culinary culture that was enriched by the arrival of new plants and animals from Europe, to comprise what is now Mexican cuisine, which takes its flavor by centuries of experimentation and mixing cultures. This is an important justification for this project, because I noticed that the tools have not evolved the same way.

Each component of this dinnerware was designed and analyzed according to the needs of guests, and moments lived in a Mexican table. Each part serves a purpose that is linked in form and function to the entire object, and that is why aesthetics are handled in soft shapes, intertwined curves, that support and make this object a unique and different piece of tableware.

It is not a simple dishes, is the art of serving and eating led to the conceptualization of design.
