HRC seeks to improve the lives of LGBT Americans by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring families are treated equally under the law and increasing public support among all Americans through innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs. HRC works to secure equal rights for LGBT individuals and families at the federal and state levels by lobbying elected officials, mobilizing grassroots supporters, educating Americans, investing strategically to elect fair-minded officials and partnering with other LGBT organizations.
Body Art Disease was a media art show and lecture series curated by Stefanie Adcock. The show invited many media artists, filmmakers, architects, and photographers to show their work and speak about the human body and its transformations. The pieces in the show ranged from street projections to fashion design. I wanted the website to reflect the darkness of the show, as well as the feeling one may have while inside the human body.

My personal favorite feature on the website is one that may never seen, one of the bubbles on the home page is actually a secret button that leads to a blog I set up for Stefanie. The blog consists of personal posts and reflections based off of the show.
A verynice design studio was approached by the UCLA Chapter of Amnesty International soon after it was formed in order to create a brand identity for the group consisting of a website, and various other forms of collateral. The site aims to use photography to draw the user into the site and to create an experience which speaks to the seriousness of the topics being researched by the group.

"Amnesty International’s mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discriminiation, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.
A verynice design studio was asked to create a t-shirt for the University of Michigan's "Alternative Spring Break" chapter. The shirt's design and illustrations were done in collaboration with verynice volunteer, Greg Ruben. Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a program that allows students to spend their spring breaks devoting their time to volunteer/charity work for a multitude of different causes. This shirt is warn by all volunteers for the University of Michigan's ASB chapter and is designed to reflect all of the different causes the students' hard work will benefit.

We created isotypes for each cause the students would get an opportunity to help out with this coming spring break: Immigration, HIV/AIDS, urban poverty, environmental, education, disability, rural poverty, native americans, and domestic abuse.

Adopt a Unit is a non-profit organization in New Orleans, LA that chooses one military Unit (currently serving overseas) to "Adopt" at a time. Through donations, we purchase various supplies designed to make the soldiers more comfortable and provide them with a taste of home. In an effort to serve ALL of our soldiers’ needs, we ask the unit how many female soldiers they have and are careful to include items geared toward them as well as the men. These generic items commonly include: socks, baby wipes, sports bras, snacks, movies, music, personal care items, etc.

As a special ‘thank you’ to each, individual soldier, we ask that they each request a single item that specifically reminds them of home. These special requests often include: regionally specific foods (TastyKakes, Zatarain’s, Zapps, etc), specific books or magazines, specific articles of clothing, etc. The organization approached us to create a poster series and identity collateral for the organization's upcoming fundraising event.
The Boyle Heights Learning Collaborative works to elevate academic achievement by means of strengthening parent capacity, developing students leadership, and fostering civic engagement. verynice was approached by BHLC to design and develop a new website that could reach audiences across all media platforms. We leveraged responsive web technology to allow the design of the site to adapt to all dimensions and platforms - from mobile to monitor to laptop to tablet. Development still in progress.
