<description>I've admired GOOD for many years. A year ago, mono sent myself and Jeffrey Gorder (mono's new business development leader) to just go have a chat with them. We met Casey Caplowe and became even more excited to find something to partner up on.

About 6 months later, we called Casey again and we decided to concept some mechanisms that could activate change at a local community level.

GOOD Attacks! is a platform that encourages microvoluteerism. Smaller initiatives that rapidly form and disband quickly leaving good in it's wake. Our first GOOD Attack took place on a Saturday in LA. We decided to attack the issue of transportation and over the course of a couple of hours, created a human infographic.

The goal of this platform is to help GOOD stretch beyond it's media properties and we hope will lead to many, many more attacks.

<description>Over the last year, mono has been growing and that means we need more amazing people. Our biggest struggle is finding talented thinkers that don't fit into traditional categories. We spend a lot of time "unlearning" behaviors that other creative agencies have developed.

I've been working with MCAD to develop curriculum that creates more borderless thinkers. Fall Semester 2012 will be the first class taking monoCulture. A senior level class that blends disciplines and outcomes while solving business problems.

<description>Monocles is a character developed by myself and a 3D guru named Shawn Hoglund. We had received a makerbot for printing this guy in 3D. We haven't gotten Buildy the makerbot to work, but a friend of ours printed him out for a high five.

Everyone should design a friend. And then give him/her fur.

<description>Parsons The New School for Design is the oldest design school in the country. They are consistently pushing design into new arenas and needed a way to highlight their innovative approach and vision for design playing a more integral role in today's larger, more complex problems.

We made SoundAffects. With the help of Tellart and PD Solid, we constructed a wall in NY that took various physical and digital inputs from the city and converted them into a musical composition.

This was a blast to make with Kelly Munson and Arthur Tanimoto.

<description>Custom Chrome creates a phonebook-sized catalog of aftermarket parts for V-twin motorcycles (Harleys). They came to us because they were also launching 8 new bike kits that you could order and build yourself. Everything except the gas would arrive at your door, and did at mono. We built one in our office.

<description>How do I describe the Art Shanty Project? It's in January. On a lake. It's like Burning Man without all of the sand. Or the heat. Or the nudity. Well, there's been some nudity.

Our concept for our shanty was Shop. A retail store where you had to pay for random items with anything other than money. Many people helped to pull it off. It was a great thing to be a part of. We ended up selling it to an artist in the end. Cheers to that!

<description>Work and Company strives to create something utilizing community, change and labor. The amount of energy and camaraderie that can surround a laborious task is something that can be more fulfilling for the whole group. Many times, we fail to start projects because there is a general lack of man hours available and that becomes an obstacle to even starting them.

Every month we tackle a project for one of the members. That member becomes the Project Leader for the day and is responsible for meals/materials/goals. Everyone else gets to dig in and work. The "Company" has become even more important because work is a great way to commune with one another. It's been fantastic.

Think of it like the "the urban amish."
