Myself and buisness partner managed the design, direction, branding, consultation, architecture and interior design on this project. The interior was designed to reflect the historical and artistic grandeur of the venue. A new identity was designed for the club which was used in major signage, promotion and administration. The venue received ‘Live Music Venue of the Year 2012’ by Hot Press Magazine, Imro’s Live Music Venue of the Year 2011 and was the main venue for the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2011. It was looking for a creative yet simple identity to help it grow into pastures new. Taking the word ‘cross’ at its most literal, a cross was placed above the type. All of its ephemera is printed on pearlescent paper to give it a wet paint look. The book design itself represents a perfume box, taking the title at its most literal. The simple, subtle and clean design allows for an interactive element to take effect as the book is opened. The ribbon, wrapping the book, adds another exquisite piece of elegance and gives it an overall delicate feel.
