This hardcover book is a collection of four-word poems written by myself and a few close friends. I wanted to make a new style of poetry similar to haikus, using strict rules and limitations on length. The combination of text, photography, and hand-drawn elements creates a deep layering of subtle stories and emotions.

The main goal of this card game is to inspire players to be a little spontaneous, but most importantly, to have fun. There are no real rules, but rather suggestions of things to do and places to go that involve interacting with real people, instead of just tweeting at them. The ideas on these cards can be mixed, matched, or modified to suit your adventuring urges.

JP Spanbauer and I displayed our design work in the middle of the gallery on podiums, but the real meat of the show was found on the walls where we included our other passions, such as photography, printmaking, wall murals, and even some music.

The International Association of Mobile Digital Artists wanted a logo that people would take seriously. They needed something many different artists from different backgrounds could agree on and would represent them as a young, but committed group. I stayed clear of anything too obvious, and chose to keep it clean and geometric, while still having elements of technology and mobility. I also focused on making the logo simple enough to work on everything from large signs to app buttons.

Chimera is an annual journal which showcases 2D and 3D art, as well as poetry and prose from Edinboro University students. I was part of the seven-member design team which worked on the book throughout the school year (and over breaks) on a budget of over $20,000. My major contributions to the book include its color scheme, the close-cropping of images, and methodology for the placement of artist names. These were some of the best brainstorming sessions ever.

When I began designing the invitation and catalog for the Erie Art Museum's 88th Annual Spring Show, I decided I wanted to make it feel like spring rather than look like it. I wanted this invite to feel like you were walking along a sunny beach with the wind blowing through your hair. The blocks of light, almost weightless text lean from side to side giving the subtle feeling of a warm, passing breeze, while the light paper texture and bold yellow headlines warm the senses.

The idea with this promotion was to take "snapshots" of the different thoughts and ideas that run through my head while designing, and collect them into a hanging collage. I wanted to show potential employers I put a lot of thought into my work, so what better way than to show them my thoughts? Each photo also featured a piece of my design work on the back.
