		<description>An issue I had with the Textpattern content management system was that sometimes the backend managed to get overly cluttered the more content you added.

In this example, the "Sections" area of the backend would be populated vertically. While a few "sections" normally wouldn't be an issue, larger sites requiring a significant amount of sections would be tedious to scroll though and update:

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/12187/128631/txp_plugin_accordion_before.jpg" width="300" height="672" width_o="300" height_o="672" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/12187/128631/txp_plugin_accordion_before_o.jpg" data-mid="551572"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

To solve this issue, I wrote a Textpattern plugin hooking into the TXP API and with some jQuery magic, converted each "Section" block into collapsible "accordion-style" blocks to allow the end-user to easily pick out a section to edit.

The following shows the plugin in effect:

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/12187/128631/txp_accordion_after.jpg" width="300" height="505" width_o="300" height_o="505" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/12187/128631/txp_accordion_after_o.jpg" data-mid="551570"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;</description>

iblastoff! media was my initial foray into the world of freelance development. It was initially marketed towards working with local artists and musicians but eventually expanded to small businesses as well.

The site incorporates a content management system (Textpattern) in the backend, valid css/xhtml coding, some minor jQuery effects, and some custom CMS plugins I've written in PHP.

Marmalade Shop is a small fashion boutique located in Toronto's Kensington Market. The owners Jake and clothing designer Magdalena needed a revamp of their site which is currently making a transition from a table-based layout to a site which follows modern coding standards.

The site implements a simple paypal-based shopping cart and is built upon user-friendly Adobe Dreamweaver templating for easy user content updates.

xPattern is an open-source php/mysql based content management system still in development. It's a direct result of a fork from Textpattern, of which some prominent users in the community decided to steer in a different direction. I was tasked to design a logo that would reflect the ease of use and main purpose of a CMS. In this case it was to "just write".
