<description>The Protea flower was named in 1735 by botanist Carl Linnaeus after the Greek god Proteus, who could assume different forms at will. 92% of the species occur only in the Cape Floristic Region.
The brief was to create a modern standalone range endorsed by Rupert Wines. The search for an unconventional representation of an overused brandname led to the art of spirographs, which perfectly express the diversity of the protea species in a contemporary way.

<description>A series of ultra-premium wine labels for Origin Wines in the Stellenbosch region. As the wines are Fairtrade accredited, we decided to champion the vineyard workers on the front label.
A highly detailed custom engraving illustrates the worker's tireless contribution from harvest, to pressing, barrel aging and distribution. Wines in the range come from 3 origins - Argentina, Chile &#38; South Africa, as represented by their flags, with Roman numerals indicating the year in which each country's vineyard was established.

<description>From interviews conducted with Spier staff and patrons, we discovered that organic wines were generally misunderstood. The solution was to bring across the message in a down-to-earth way.
The wraparound label is printed with vegetable-based pigments on Cyclus Offset, a 100% recycled, uncoated paper. It's not glued to the bottle, and can be easily separated for recycling, by tearing along the perforation provided.

<description>Targeting the U.S. market, this range of highly collectible herbal infused African brandies depict a big African cat on each of the 4 variants produced - Honeybush, Buchu, Ginger Root and Hanepoot.
Sourced from Saverglass in France, the Helios bottle's round profile was the perfect canvas to show leopard, lion, cheetah and lynx. Each cat is reverse fired on the bottle to magnify through the liquid. Tom Nevin, respected author of African fables, was tasked with the copywriting duties, bringing each cat’s tale to life.

<description>The Bernard Series celebrates the legend of Bernard Podlashuk, the maverick winemaker, who helped place South African wine on the map.
This collection of ultra-premium wines pay homage to the winemaking process of yesteryear. Inspired by the individual attention afforded each wine, the labels follow suit with bespoke woodcuts, evocative copywriting and hand-spaced typography, all contributing to a sense of old world charm. We’d like to think that Bernard would have been proud.

<description>Armed with the knowledge that the owner runs a recording studio, we chose a lyrebird as symbol. The lyrebird is unmatched in vocal repertoire and mimicry. It renders with great fidelity the songs of other birds, camera shutters, chainsaws, and even crying babies.
We sourced a candlestick maker to craft the bespoke satin-black glazed ceramic bottles, following our detailed technical drawings. The numbered neck label and beeswax seal added to the feel of a limited edition luxury product.

<description>Situated on the foothills overlooking Port Edward, Beaver Creek farm has from humble beginnings grown to become known as a source of premium coffee among aficionados.
Six different origins were represented by a unique label each quarter, with the deadline no more than a week, from research and generating concepts through to supplying the extremely intricate 6-colour finished artwork to printers. Needless to say, free coffee was on hand for the late nights.
