I was deeply inspired by my trip to Yellowstone and the practice of hot glass blowing. I was fascinated by the layers of travertine terrace formed naturally at Yellowstone. The irregularity of the layers reminded me of the pulling action that occurs when hot glass is being formed. However, my friend, knowing my love for parrots or any kind of birds, also reminded me that the set appears to be bird-like.
