Every few months a new e-zine issue is released (currently on the second issue - "Passion") which shows new data content as well as a new color scheme while also archiving previous issues which can be viewed from the top "LUV" menu system. I was lead flash developer and architect on this project managing three others who helped out on key components and sections. I created the XML structure and flash shell architecture for the entire application, managed all the data, XML parsing - merging new issue data together with older issue data, managed the loading scheme to maximize updatability with a large consideration of file size and co-built our reusable scroller component. Here at Beam we accomplished this by outdoor ads, ambient media ads, online ads and mobile ads which directed the supporter to sign-up online or by mobile phone. My role in this campaign was as both a designer and developer. While working with an outsourced freelancer in co-developing the online site which was used to sign up supporters across the world, I worked on building the core XML, CSS, and shell architecture which had full multi-lingual support, various sections of the site and all transitions throughout. I was also part of concepting, designing and developing the following viral online ad that was distributed internationally which is shown below. This ad is promoting the the v1.08: Tricks Boot which is the x-ray version of the v1.08: Speed Boot by revealing it stylistically by means of an x-ray-type scanner effect. Some key features are the ability to search and navigate the world map using the Google Flash API, pinpoint dealers closest to your area or region, find out pertinent dealer information – hours, current inventory, test drive scheduling, additional services they provide – and the ability to get directions to that dealer location.
