A magazine cover for Print that focuses on how design has changed the world. The cover called for imagery that dealt with the current energy problems. The oil rigs show the way we currently consume energy and the vibrancy through the oil signifies the lack of cleanliness in our current methods. This image, while intriguing shows how our current design for energy consumption is flawed and could be improved by using alternative energy.

A book cover for the New York Times best seller I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell by Tucker Max. The book is a series of stories from Tucker’s personal life as a drunken womanizer and the adventures that he has taken. In the book he begins all the stories in a bar where he attempts to pick up women. The design for the book is highly derived from the book and the stories, and takes a hand made approach to the illustration and description.

A CD cover for the electronic artist Armin Van Buuren that translates the way the music sounds into a visual representation. The music has a wide variety of tones, beats, and vocals that assemble the different colors in the piece, and the electronic aspect of the music gives the lines more depth and static, causing deterioration.

A poster for the electronic artist Above & Beyond. The triangular shape is from their original Tri-State album, but the design took more of an organic approach rather than the traditional saturated colors that make up the electronic genre. The entire poster has an organic color scheme, and a hand drawn approach to the lines and text that helps differentiate the poster and band from other artists in the genre.

A three page article for I.D. Magazine that explains the way the English language is constantly changing and adding new words to the dictionary every year. The look for the article cover shows a wide variety of words from the article in different faces and sizes. The title is highlighted in color to emphasize how you have to make every word count to get the proper point or idea across the way it was originally intended.

A package design & logo redesign for Linksys and the N Ultra Wireless router. The logo and packaging was designed to appeal to a younger demographic by using lowercase letters and using a thinner typeface. The logo is also linked together to tie it directly to the brand name, but separates the “I” to represent the wireless connectivity that the company is known for. The package uses bright colors, and uses organic shapes to show the wireless range.

A branding package for a snowboard company in Aspen, CO. Stompbox makes snowboards and apparel with a large focus on design and art. Every board has a different design from well established artists, and this gets pushed to apparel as well. The logo for the company is sleek, to contrast the bright saturated colors from the rest of the package. The site also uses a very unique smoke style to the logo in order to contrast the sleek logo design and saturated colors.

A clock design that changes the way a person wakes up in the morning by creating a calm, and serene experience. The clock slowly lights up as the time set for the alarm approaches and soothing sounds ramp up to wake up the person, this way the body has time to adjust to the morning rather than harshly waking up making the person irritated and tired in the mornings. The top of the clock can also be pressed on the entire top part to snooze, and stop the alarm.

A poster for Full Sail University to highlight the final presentations from the graduating class of digital arts & design bachelor’s degree. The poster is an abstract representation for the graduates breaking out of the norm of previous coursework and experimenting in new ways, which are shown by the triangular shape bursting from the “cage” and breaking up the composition. The chaotic look shows the coming changes from graduating to beginning a career.
