Coinciding with the “The Art of FLIGHT” movie premiere on September 7 2011, we launched a new online game for Red Bull:

The Art of FLIGHT game powers you to enjoy an adrenalin-fuelled ride, based on snowboarder Travis Rice’s experience of riding several of the most extreme terrains across some of the most remote places on Earth.

My role in this project was to arrive as near as possible to Travis Rice look, and animated all sequences of tricks - with some attention for the coding part start and end frames matching.

Rather than simply being a website that allows users to play around with the paint colour, door configuration choices and different interior options of the new Range Rover Evoque, Being Henry is an interactive film in which viewers get to decide how Henry proceeds through the narrative at various stages. Does he head straight into the restaurant to meet his sisters and grandma, or does he decide to walk around the corner and "forget" about his family reunion?

Each choice viewers make on behalf of the film's lead character, Henry, takes him on a different journey through a multiple strand story, and each choice also dictates a particular set up of a new model of Range Rover's Evoque model – which you find out when the film has played out. You then have the option to play around further with the car's colour, interior etc, or replay the film and try making different choices.

For example, choose to ignore your family re-union to spend time with a young waitress, and the car you end up with will be the two door coupe version, rather than the five door family version... It sounds interestingly lateral yet potentially bland, but high production values, an unfussy, intuitive digital interface created by Less Rain, great performances, and a genuinely engaging set of numerous storylines and even more (over 30) endings, means that actually it's tricky to stop re-playing the film and exploring the different choices / narratives. With various plots that include such characters as a gun-toting grandma, a mafia-linked baker, and an attractive young waitress waiting for Henry in the back room of a diner – it's all rather good fun.

Less Rain has worked together with director Nick Gordon and Somesuch &#38; Co to prototype all interactivity and have proof of concept before the shoot started. Since then we have been putting ‘Being Henry’ together shot by shot, making sure pre-loading is seamless, fine-tuning all decision points and doing quality control in all deliverables to make sure everyone’s work clicks into place. Pelucchi is a italian brand that basically produces lights for architectures and big structures. For the client, innovation is the rule, and vanGoGh followed this phylosophy and tryed to give a new breath to the company's corporate ID and a unique user-experience to the target. 

CONCEPT

Focusing exclusively on the product (architecture lights), the vanGoGh Team developed a visual concept based on textures and lights. The idea is to represent the effect of the shadows and of the photometric lights in a real situation familiar to the architects.

THE 3D VIDEOS AND PHOTOMETRIC VALUES

One interesting thing about the 3D Video production of this website is the Photometric valeues used on the video ilumination. Every simple Pelucchi light in the catalog had its specific photometry and we recreated all values inside 3D Studio Max and VRay to reach the most precize effect of the product. 


PAPERVISION 3D EXPERIENCE

The online experience creates a clean structure defined by little elegant elements, fluid actionscript tweens and small graphic details.
We used Papervision3D for the background interactivity. 
The user can drag the 3D leaf and see how the shadow change on the surface, giving a nice simulation based on different point lights for each page.
The background 3D plan is mapped with a different video transition for each section and its moves are based on the mouse position, a small detail important to improve the emotional feeling of the navigation.

It was a good opportunity to apply what we've learnt on the FITC Amsterdam PV3D workshop.</description>

When we decided to make something to the Festiva della Creativitá in Florence, the first thing was understand where (I mean, wich kind of building) the installation will be - and for our surprises was at an Old Jail building in the heart of the city. 
In the installation we tried to reproduce the pain and the anguish of being deprived of your freedom.

Using sounds, candles and a rought graffiti style, the object was to create a kind of "heavy" atmosphere using light and shadow reaction, according with the position of the user. Multiple users was avaible to interact as well. 

My role in the project was conceptual and visual - the graffitti part. The full staff was Enrico Penzo, Andrea Rossi, Leandro Lima, Alberto Ponkarelli, Max Galli, Giorgio Guzzi, Giullianna and Gianni.

"São Paulo, dia 1º de outubro de 1992, 8h da manhã.

Aqui estou, mais um dia.

Sob o olhar sanguinário do vigia. 

Você não sabe como é caminhar com a cabeça na mira de uma HK.

Metralhadora alemã ou de Israel.

Estraçalha ladrão que nem papel.

Na muralha, em pé, mais um cidadão José.

Servindo o Estado, um PM bom.

Passa fome, metido a Charles Bronson.

Ele sabe o que eu desejo.

Sabe o que eu penso. 

O dia tá chuvoso. O clima tá tenso.

Vários tentaram fugir, eu também quero.

Mas de um a cem, a minha chance é zero.

Será que Deus ouviu minha oração?

Será que o juiz aceitou a apelação? 

Mando um recado lá pro meu irmão:

Se tiver usando droga, tá ruim na minha mão.

For the Milan Design Week 2011, me and my brazilian friends/artists Renée Melo, Leandro Lima and Roberto Vergati made this special illustration project to be hosted at Baobar.

1 bar, 4 designers, 4 minds, 8 hands, but 1 thing in common: Brazil in Milan. This creativity and mix of ingredients leaded to the project's concept: a fun and patriotic drink: the Caipirinha. A mixture of Cachaça, Sugar, Ice and Lime.

Cai &#38; Pira! To go beyond any regular way of creating. No computers, but all hand made, a game of proportions, a group style and an experimental approach. All possible interpretations of Caipirinha can be found in these wonderful panels that invade Baobar. You can't just take a quick look at this project, but you need to throw yourself and get lost in the details.

Hickey Magazine is a project produced by SOULDESIGNER™ with the help of many talents.

In the USA and Ireland, a love bite is often called a hickey (hicky, or hickie). Ellie Goldstein (1992) refers to it as 'love nips'. In some circumstances, it is also called a 'kiss mark'. In India it is called a Kamasutra bite. And in your country?

This video-loop and the poster was part of the original arts made exclusively to the Hickey Mag Launch Party.

Flores pintadas, no huelen a nada. Adiós las flores, yo con el aroma tengo.

Olhei até ficar cansado. De ver os meus olhos no espelho. Chorei por ter despedaçado. As flores que estão no canteiro. Os punhos e os pulsos cortados. E o resto do meu corpo inteiro. Há flores cobrindo o telhado. E embaixo do meu travesseiro. Há flores por todos os lados. Há flores em tudo que eu vejo.

Trying to keep the same UI of Vespa.com but using a different creative approach, the Scarabeo website arrive with some 3D Illustrations for each model and a "rubrik" page transition. Very young and fresh, the colors and objects of the main pages was based in the target range (each model one different - in a total of 4).

The project should connect people to each other, and seek ways to create and share individual experiences through video. Consider formal means by which video can function as more than a one-way medium. How can the process of making the video manifest itself in the final form?

There are a number of examples of video functioning as a medium of exchange: video conferencing, and chat roulette among them. Video has been used as a exquisite-corpse medium: one person starts the story, and another continues it. There is the phenomenon of the response video. There are examples that incorporate video into larger installations, which then link people remotely.

Vespa is a cult, strongly connected to fashion and style.
LookBook proposal for Vespa site use for the navigatiion this connection with fashion, to highlight the glamour and the relationship between the scooter and the merchandising.

The use of deep emotional impact 3D and videos lead the user through a fashion show in Vespa style. Inside the videos user can see the matching between accessories, merchandising and models of Vespa.

An advanced customizer allow to personalize the chosen product with the accessories and clothes to create a total look to enforce the relationship between the clothes and the Vespa.
Vespa homepage it’s easy to customize from Piaggio staff with emotional images of the products or with current promotions.
Homepage design, infact, is made to be easily managed with few clicks and little graphic interventions, developing a flexible and long term site, convertible according to the requirements of communication by the brand.

One important thing about Vespa was the shooting of the Scooter Models and the actors. In this part I can share with you some of the tests we've done before to go to the studio - trying to understand how the particle system could work with the actors, for exemple.
