We chose to analyze and map recreation access for 18 Wisconsin cities. The categories of recreation include hiking, biking, state parks, and water access. After we completed the cartography, I decided to turn it into an interactive animated web map using an HTML 5 exporter known as Hype. Take a look! I created the map from the ground up using open source technologies, preparing the layers in QGIS, styling the map using TileMill, and preparing the javascript using the Leaflet JS library.
