<description>Through my work with interactive web mapping, I have been required to learn a number of web technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript.

To continue development of these skills I offered to redesign the web page for the S.S. Meteor, a historic ship and museum, in Superior, Wisconsin.

Click the link below to see the current design:

<description>As part of a GIS Applications class - we were split into teams and asked to solve a spatial problem. We chose to analyze and map recreation access for 18 Wisconsin cities. The categories of recreation include hiking, biking, state parks, and water access. After we completed the cartography, I decided to turn it into an interactive animated web map using an HTML 5 exporter known as Hype. Take a look!

<description>This interactive "deep map" of the St. Louis River Estuary aims spur people to explore the confluence of stories and science in a spatial environment. I created the map from the ground up using open source technologies, preparing the layers in QGIS, styling the map using TileMill, and preparing the javascript using the Leaflet JS library. Therefore this map is entirely free to host and use and 100 percent customized to our project needs.
