Cybersite uk took the scanner to pinewood and christian hogue supervised the head scanning. Mr Stallone arrived chewing a big cigar and his interest perked up when we told him it was possible to have a bronze bust made from the scan. shown is the raw texture and 3d shape created from the scan which required the subject to freeze for about 20 seconds as the laser scanned rotates about their head capturing depth and color information. In this work we have added to the primitive wireframe by introducing the Classic Phong Computer Generated Surface. Groupe creative director Blam approached lost in space to take the pin art theme of the previous covers into a new dimension. The new cover features a pin art rendition of the famous Sanchez logo. Other images created by lost in space explore a variety of objects including Roger's face complete with glasses and hat seen as raised pins in a matrix of metallic pins. lost in space explored various angles and objects with Groupe in order to create a unique set of images. Our series of images involved showing the S Logo emerging from random noise in the surface of the matrix. Several weeks of refining the look and structure of the pin matrix where required before the desired effect was achieved. The objects including Roger himself where scanned via a 3d laser scanner at Cybersite UK. The now digital objects where then manipulated and pushed into the rear of the digital matrix to create the pin art images.
