Aus einer Illustration für die damalige Ausgabe 63 wuchs eine lange Verbundenheit und auch mein Drang, mich mehr mit Illustration auseinanderzusetzen. Neben zahlreichen Illustrationen habe ich mich irgendwann zur Bildredakteurin ernannt und visuelle Beiträge von vielen interessanten Illustratoren, Fotografen und Künstlern in die Hefte koordiniert. Das ganze erlebte im Jahr 2009 seinen Höhepunkt in einer großen Retrospektive in Form eine Ausstellung - 20 Jahre Persona Non Grata Magazin. Angeblich machen die das so, um sich des naheliegenden Eindrucks zu erwehren, man könne sich mit ein paar Veröffentlichungen in diesem Fanzine ganz schnell einen guten Namen machen. Persona Non Grata – stilprägend und vehement unabhängig seit 1990 – genießt einen ganz besonders guten Ruf, der unweigerlich abfärbt. Das würden sich viele gern gefallen lassen. Persona Non Grata ist über monothematische Fixierung und Genrebefindlichkeiten hinaus das letzte und einzige Print-Fanzine zur Populärkultur in Deutschland. Das Heft erscheint regelmäßig. In einer Auflage von 5000 Exemplaren. Immerhin. Das ist nicht wenig. Das ist beeindruckend, wenn man bedenkt, dass sich dieses Heft nicht anbiedert – keiner Zielgruppe, nicht dem Markt, nicht der Industrie und nicht dem Zeitgeist. Mit exklusiver Sprache, einem einzigartigen Stil und einer gehörigen Portion Arroganz verschließt sich Persona Non Grata den Uneingeweihten. Es ist ein Magazin ausschließlich für Getriebene. Die Autoren und ihre Leser verbindet eine Besessenheit mit dem noch Unentdeckten und dem dezidiert Abwegigen. Sie begegnen Medien, die ihre Themen wählen, weil sie dies über eine zu ökonomischer Relevanz gewachsene Teilöffentlichkeit gerechtfertigt sehen, und prompt den brandheißen neuen Trend verkünden, mit Skepsis und gar Resistenz. Wir nannten es den TRIARTLON. In Anlehnung an den sportlichen Wettkampf, war es das Ziel, 3 Disziplinen an einem Ort 'antreten' zu lassen. Visuelle Arbeiten, die in unserer freien Zeit enstanden sind und keinen weiteren Anspruch erheben als angeschaut zu werden und mit den Leuten eine gute Zeit zu haben. Ausgewählte Motive wurden während des Ausstellungsszeitraums und auch noch danach auf Nikkis gedruckt und so konnte jeder Besucher ein Stück von uns mitnehmen. Mittlerweile hat sich der TRIARTLON mit der bald 4ten Ausstellung zu einer kleinen Konstante entwickelt. The TRIARTLON is a sequence of exhibitions in the Nikkifaktur. During the exhibition the textile printing company metamorphoses into a gallery. We focus on all-day-work-persons, who work in the free time on the things they like to do the most. Eine große Freude! Leave Again (Outtakes & Remixes) by Teamforest is a special EP that is released exclusively for the Aerotone restart. It features three Outtakes from the critically acclaimed album "Leave" as well as three remixes. "Leave On A Jetplane" features the vocal talents of Jason Sweeney famous for his work as "Other Peoples Children", "Pretty Boy Crossover" and a 1000 other projects. This is the most pop Teamforest can possibly get. The remixes feature him again under the moniker "Simpático" when he gives "Leave The Boys Of Summer" a good old dub overhaul. The other two remixes were done by the brothers Adams that sailed the "Hood" ship through ever interesting waters. Richard remixes as "The Declining Winter" and adds some typical Nothern English drama to "Leave This Town (On Bicycle). Chris remixes as "Bracken" and delivers "Leave The North, Head Southwards" a yet unknown sexiness through the use of vocoders, heavy beats and dancy basslines. Also his remix features one of the best electronica track endings since Gescom's "Key Nell". But that is just our opinion.
