I took to Ebay and bought 20 yearbooks from different decades, starting from the 50's until the 2000's. I cut up a bunch of portraits and put them on one sheet, while placing the band members in there as well. I used a lot of iconic photos from the yearbooks as well. Such as people out of their element, or looking unhappy. The middle page features a collage much like the theme of their last album which you can check out here I wanted to show some continuity with the last album to the next. The band had sent me a bag of momentos from their years of touring and random junk from their van. Such as drink tickets, laminates, wrist bands, bottle caps, condoms, tags from their jobs, and love letters written to them while on tour. I spread them all on a table and photographed it. This wasn't photoshopped in the least bit, other than textures. The best thing of this album, besides putting in the photos of the band at a school to fit the overall theme, was that the band had family and friends and people at the label handwrite a song per individual to make it appear as if they were signing their year book. The band also doodled some drawings and had friends contribute as well. There is also slurs and defilement of pictures as well. This thing couldn't get more like a yearbook could it? Why, yes it can. The cover was embossed with foil to make it more lifelike and true to the look it was meant to have. This is one of my favorite projects and one of my best executions to any of my ideas and direction. Everything flowed perfectly and it was truly a hands on project as well as a meaningful one where the band really put themselves and the people they care about into it.
