(sept/okt 2009) We traden op als een audiovisuele performance met een overhead projector waarop Misha speelde met speelgoed beestjes, Ik die VJde met aapjes-animaties en een dansje. Oja en Misha draaide dan Franse Chansons. Tussen 11 en 19 juli zal dit stuk te zien zijn. LOS is een tekstloos theaterstuk van een half uur met 1 acteur, een dj en een vj. Die VJ ben ik. Regisseur Puck van Dijk vroeg mij om samen met haar deze voorstelling tot stand te laten brengen, en begin september 2011 stonden we op het Amsterdams Fringe Festival ermee. Het ene moment staat Loots tegen een doodgewone muur geleund. Het volgende moment verandert deze muur in een badkamervloer, waardoor hij knock out lijkt te zijn gegaan tijdens het tandenpoetsen. Ook de scène waarin Loots dankzij de visuals letterlijk in de wolken is, geeft de voorstelling een komische wending. Zodoende zat ik in juni 2011 drie weken op Terschelling te filmen, animeren, sjouwen etc. Zie hier het resultaat: Naast handjes die als zeepokjes bewogen was mijn belangrijkste bijdrage de schuim-beelden. De manier waarop water stroomt, hoe oliedruppeltjes ronde bolletjes vormen(colloïden) in afwaswater, hoe poeders op een box gaan dansen door faseverschillen in verschillende geluidsfrequenties (en ook door de aanzuigende werking die onder een hoopje poeder ontstaat als deze omhoog geschoten wordt door de trillende ondergrond), en meer. Ik wil deze processen en details daarvan graag zo filmisch mogelijk documenteren en bouw installaties waarop ik deze processen naboots om ieder detail te kunnen filmen. Ik zou heel graag de grens tussen educatie, kunst en wetenschap opzoeken en probeer dat in dit project te doen. In het filmpje hieronder laat ik beelden zien die die fascinatie tonen maar het nog niet uitleggen. Die kant wil ik nu op. Dat was een landschap in de duinen waar met 14 beamers filmpjes op gebeamd werden. Zandlumen heette dit, een initiatief van Van Buul en Vriens. Ik was gedurende 3 weken daar en heb een heleboel schuim gefilmd. Maar ook deze testjes gemaakt van cymatic-beelden van mij. Deze zijn niet gebruikt in de installatie maar desalniettemin heel mooi. Ik vond de beleving van de natuurkrachten fantastisch tot uiting komen in de Terschellingse duinen, en dat project zal zeker een vervolg krijgen. · Als VJ Glitterende Eenhoorn gebruik ik veel van de beelden die ik hierboven liet zien.
