A symbol that embodies the idea of global citizenship, the breaking of national boundaries, unity and freedom. Description: Beginning with the circle as a symbol of unity, I positioned two sets of seven semi circles representing the seven continents of the globe. The negative space between these arcs show images of people holding hands. The white space in the centre of the image bursts outwards symbolising the breaking of national boundaries. The colour blue used against the white background means freedom and peace. Taking the form and layout of a gallery space and creating a book that reflects this, creating spaces that lend themselves to displaying art. Description: I have produced a book based on the layout of the A Foundation New Contemporaries Exhibition. Using part of the A Foundation logo mark, i produced a system that allows the reader to see the position of the art within the gallery space and also whether it is an installation or wall piece. The book acts as a visual map to the gallery as well as a showcase for the artists.
