Na língua, a voz dentificada recorre ao sono no marfim dos molares para que em toda frase quebrada reproduza dura a bela palavra acordado em dentes mortos o céu da boca reproduz seus dados, novamente em penosas lutas entre querubins e desdentados. Shakespeare, in Measure for Measure In what constitutes the human realm of the imagination, at a social level, we find factors influenced by exchanges with anthropology, in which attitudes towards daily life, produced in the relations which occur in a given social context, tend to recur in several cultural moments, although remaining with peculiar representation in their respective spatial and temporal perspectives. In his various photographic series, known as Collum Capillus, Crystallus Capillus and Viola Capillus, in addition to the video Barca Capillus, the artist João Manoel Feliciano is physically compromised. On chosing hair as a link between the images, he evokes – wittingly or otherwise – the mythical figure of Samson who is anchored in our imaginary world as a reminder of the constant duel between strength and fragility, a character who unites in his being factors in which the mixture between what appears to us initially as diametrically opposed elements becomes more and more diluted as we reflect on the subject. The conflict in the relation strength-fragility currently has representations in several social fields, which tend to elect as old masters whatever relates to order and strength and calculated productivity, in detriment to vulnerability, playfulness and uselessness. Nonetheless, art, in its range of possible manifestations, appears as a privileged form of making us look at a new order of values. Adopting a stance against the current of the dominant ideology, it makes us reconsider these factors under another light. In reality, throughout its history, art seems constantly to have confronted us, given the undeniable factor of seduction which constitutes the emotion provoked by vulnerability. This appears as the great strength that catalyses all beauty on allowing us the outlet of feelings, and artists are left with the role of making us reflect on the need to preserve it, to recognize it as our passport, as João Manoel implicitly makes us perceive with his praise to the strength of fragility. Given how exposed we are on a daily basis to both physical and mental dangers, and how compelled we are to struggle in a world of insane competition; if our essence is of glass, as Shakespeare reminds us, there is an urgent need for us to recognize that it is in fragility that we find ourselves united to each other. For hundreds of minutes, the artist awaits, in slow silence, the melting of the blocks of ice that surround his long locks of hair, creating metaphors of the uninterrupted process of the transience of life, and adding his poetic contribution to the world-wide discussion of this. His living body heats the ice, which then cools down, revealing a relationship of interdependence. In the interaction established between the artist and the blocks of ice and in spite of his signs of exhaustion that affect it – trembling, tiredness, numbness –, what becomes apparent is their inter-connectedness amidst the chaos. With apparent spontaneity, human and natural forms, normally oblivious to each other, endure slow processes, which, despite limited impact, go on investing in the continuity of small metamorphoses - uninterrupted for relatively long periods. Aguarda, em seu lento silêncio, a liquefação do que é tão pedra. Sua performance Crystallus Capillus parece metaforizar a tendência à liquidez (e consequentemente caos e maleabilidade) do mundo dos seres. Seu corpo vivo aquece o gelo que, fazendo ver as relações de interdependência entre as partes do todo (artista-gelo-artista), reversamente esfria-se. Com o passar do tempo, a resistência do artista mostra sinais de exaustão: seu corpo treme, seus músculos fatigados e tensos já não o sustentam tão ereto quanto inicialmente, a respiração se aprofunda, a roupa encharcar-se. Em silêncio, observamos a também muda ação do tempo que, incapaz de produzir revoluções, vai apostando na continuidade das metamorfoses que se mantêm ininterruptas ao longo dos instantes. pesquisa que teve início com a serie Capillus, mais precisamente no trabalho Viola Capillus .Onde exploro a simbologia sonora do corpo humano,principalmente dos cabelos, fazendo uma relação com as cordas do violão .No caso desta performance uso a idéia da corda sonora,como conjunto de fios e as tranças o somatório de fios de cabelo. Essas cordas como as cordas vocais ao vibrar provocam sons,como a corda do sino amarrada ao meu cabelo durante a performance. Na performance, o artista esticara uma corda que terá em sua extremidade um sino. A corda será posta no mezanino tendo uma das pontas amarradas ao cabelo do artista que a puxará criando uma gangorra.O artista fará varias reverencias com a cabeça provocando a vibração da corda e o toque dos sinos.
