Selected artists will take these objects, which are no longer fit or have served their purpose and will turn them into something that is potentially beautiful and definitely different. aspex’s main gallery space will function as both workshop and exhibition space with artists working for fixed periods throughout the project. light... This idea came from wanting to replace the blades on a ceiling fan with a soft brush...I thought it might spin up and change shape. I got the brush manufactured and initially just mounted them on ball bearings to spin them yourself. I eventually put a fan motor about 2 years later and it worked! Well i did but in the final one was made with false blades with no teeth.
