Urban Art Fair (2010) BASE23, PABO, PISA73 and me took part as SUPERPLAN STUDIO at the 3rd edition of STROKE. The world’s first trade fair for urban art and new contemporary art – Stroke.03 – is celebrating its premier in Germany’s capital from 7 – 10 October 2010. Since its beginning as a single exhibition in May 2009, it has, according to its own figures, brought together over 20,000 visitors and over 500 exhibiting artists. Until now, the Stroke Fair has taken place in Munich in spring and this shall continue. For the first time the event is moving to Berlin – in autumn – to take place at the same time as other art fairs. The fair will present, “a completely new interpretation of Urban Art”. The aim is not to trump other events but to enrich the international and local art scene with a new, unusual element. With a mixture of paintings, poster art, matrix art, graphics, cut-outs, stickers and collages Stroke.03 has a wide range on offer. The organizer in Munich and Berlin is Marco Schwalbe from the Intoxicated Demons gallery. During the fair, a special exhibition, Stroke.digital, will take place for the first time. The trade fair cooperates with Munich agency Avantgarde and wants to prove that, “many designers and illustrators are true artists. We are expecting to see breathtaking pictures and videos”.
