The Challenge: To bring awareness to communities around the nation that health care should be a human right. 45,000 people die annually from lack of health insurance.

The Idea: The idea is to replace parking gates with a giant match stick. The up and down movement will mimic the effect of striking a match. A giant match box will be place next to the gate.

The Result: The viewer will be reminded to be cautious when striking a match. A message will be describe on the match box.

The Challenge: To bring awareness to urban/metropolitan community that carelessness is the number one cause of wild fires in the United States

The Idea: The idea is to place miniature non-flamable props that look like dry brush in ash trays. The cigarette smoke will mimic the effect of a brush fire.

The Result: The viewer will be reminded to
be cautious when ashing their cigarette. A message
will be described on the ash tray.</description>

		<description>The project was to take an existing package and examine its environmental impact. Designing sustainable packaging is a relatively new addition to our fight towards the movement of "Going Green". I am a big fan and will jump on any project if it entails lowering our carbon footprint.

Client: Otokoyama Sake
Product: Bottle Graphics &#38; Innovative Packaging

Size: 3" x 5" x 13"
Material: Recycled &#38; Reclaimed Materials

&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/09_800.jpg" width="800" height="1200" width_o="800" height_o="1200" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/09_o.jpg" data-mid="7240191"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/10_800.jpg" width="800" height="161" width_o="800" height_o="161" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/10_o.jpg" data-mid="7241448"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
The bottles are corked with pressed wood chips from local furniture manufacturers&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/02_800.jpg" width="800" height="533" width_o="800" height_o="533" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/02_o.jpg" data-mid="7239743"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/04_800.jpg" width="800" height="533" width_o="800" height_o="533" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/04_o.jpg" data-mid="7239746"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
As opposed to traditional petroleum-based ink, soy-based ink is more environmentally friendly, might provide more accurate colors, and makes it easier to recycle paper. The recycled paper is pasted with an organic glue made with simple ingredients like white flour, sugar and water.
&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/05_800.jpg" width="800" height="533" width_o="800" height_o="533" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/05_o.jpg" data-mid="7239791"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/06_800.jpg" width="800" height="533" width_o="800" height_o="533" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/06_o.jpg" data-mid="7239818"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
I wanted to continue the drive to new innovations around the package. The package is made from reclaimed wood from local cities and transform into a bottle rack. Its structure lock and stack together as more packages are purchased.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/08_800.jpg" width="800" height="1887" width_o="800" height_o="1887" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/1/59644/1183536/08_o.jpg" data-mid="7239967"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>Brief
Southern California is blanketed with sporting events, which easily overshadow the Special Olympics. The client wanted to create participation and drive volunteers to their summer and winter games. The proposition of the brief centered on the fact that every Special Olympics athlete gives everything they can to their events.

Solution
Special Olympics doesn’t have much media, but they do have partners willing to put up posters. We created a poster series that showcased the heroic, heartfelt efforts of each of the athletes.

Results
Special Olympics Southern California excitedly reached their volunteer and participation goals for their games.

		<description>Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on March 11 2011. The magnitude-9.0 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the nation's east coast, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. Thousands of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.

Japan has often donated when other countries have experienced disasters, such as when Hurricane Katrina impacted the United States.

AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help.

		<description>With images of assassins that change based on the light, the book covers designed by Herman Chaneco mimic the content of the books. The book covers and posters designed by los angeles-based designer Herman Chaneco turn the printed page into a small-scale installation. The pop-up titles contain figures designed so that a different image is produced
based on the differing angles of its light source.

Designing the cut-outs required a multifaceted approach, to allow that the title remain legible in a range of circumstances. In the final design, the shadows serve both to fill in the typography as well as create a ninja character.

in both regards, Chaneco notes, 'the concept of the design is influenced by the attributes of a ninja assassin', the subject of Brent Weeks's 'Night Angel Trilogy' for which they were designed. -DesignBoom

"Herman Chaneco has managed to pull of some stunning light and
shadows art here with his own creations for the Night Angel Trilogy
covers. Notice that the shadows create two images. One fills in the
typography and the other light source creates the character. Pretty
amazing art! Was it just my imagination, or did that shadow just
take a swipe at me with a sword." -Brent Weeks

		<description>The Challenge: To bring awareness to communities around the nation that health care should be a human right. 45,000 people die annually from lack of health insurance.

The Idea: To create a viral video that will
target the viewer’s emotion on human equality.
Our lives, our generation, our kind relies on these emotions.

The Result: Bringing the nation together on the same page will desegregate the
differences between the haves and have nots. We are all the same and love
should be our number one priority in our lives.

The campaigns with "The Big Idea" tends to find irreverent images that completely brings back to the campaign's initial action.

		<description>I decided to break from traditional paper greetings and instead, create an online digital holiday experience. First, I issued a challenge to test your creativity with an addictive “Jumble Bells” game. This Mad Libs-inspired game gave you the creative freedom to re-write, listen to, and share your own amusing version of ”Jingle Bells.” I then attached a contest, asking everyone to post their best song on a Facebook page. The most “liked” song would receive a special prize for creativity. To reward those who spent additional time exploring our site, we also included hidden “Easter Eggs” that unlocked fun surprises.
