Artist Statement Fabian Gatermann (Jahrgang 1984)

Ich arbeite an der Grenze von Kunst und Design in einem spannenden Zwischenraum. Ich möchte den Betrachter immer in das Objekt miteinbeziehen und so einzigartige Unikate schaffen, indem ich Materialien neu verwende und arangiere.
Formal sind meine Arbeiten von der Pop Art, dem Suprematismus und dem russischen und niederländischen Konstruktivismus beeinflusst. Meine Themen beschäftigen sich mit Macht, Kindheit und Interaktion im medialen Kontext des Iconic Turn.

Mein Studium der Kommunikationswissenschaften, des Designs, der Ingenieurwissenschaften und der Wirtschaftswissenschaften führte mich über Wien nach Köln und Brasilien und lässt mich aus einem vielseitigen Repertoire und differenzierten Perspektiven schöpfen. Ich lebe und arbeite in München, der Stadt in der ich geboren bin, mein Atelier ist am Stemmerhof in der Plinganserstrasse 6.
