As part of a series of projects for the San Francisco Film Society, Factor Design was asked to redesign the organization's website to promote its growing activities. A unique event consisting of multimedia exploration, Dérapage was founded by students at l'Uqam design school (Montreal).
I got involved for a period of two years to create the visual identities and campaign materials of several of these events.

Over the past decade, Indian cinema—so called Bollywood—has become increasingly popular in the western world. In an attempt to better understand the world’s largest film industry, two of my friends and I travelled to Mumbai Film City to meet and interview actors, directors, producers, and film crews.

(2007) 26 minutes, English with French Subtitles.
Produced by La Famille Digitale.

MAGAZINE

For the third and last act, we explored new themes such as superstition and faith. Victor was born under a sign. Through life experiences, he developed some sort of immutiny to his bad luck and eventually turned his miserable condition into the most precious gift of all. Duotone cover, black & white inside, offset printing,
84 pages, 1000 copies.
–Project made at Uqam, April 2007.

MAGAZINE

Shortly after Bruno was printed, we went back to the drawing board to create a new hero. Inspired by Nadia Comăneci’s perfect performance during the 1976 olympic games in Montréal, the second act of the magazine draw a realistic portrait of a woman who’s just turning 30. Nadia is strong, ambitious, and about to learn a big lesson in life. Duotone cover, black & white inside, offset printing, 80 pages, 1000 copies.

MAGAZINE

I initiated this project while attending design school in Montréal. Together with with four classmates and two writers, we developed an imaginary character that would become the narrator of our magazine. Bruno, 20 years old, saw the light in the Spring of 2008. He was 68 pages thick, optimistic and…very curious. Duotone cover, black & white inside, offset printing, 500 copies.

WEBSITE

Evernote is a free tool that easily captures information from the web, a phone, or any digital device and makes it accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere. After one year of activity and one million registered users, Evernote approached Factor Design to redesign their website and provide them with a better online strategy.
