We noted how simple shapes work together to create illusions of spatial exterior or interior, simulating a form of space that doesn’t occur naturally. Taking influences from simple shapes used in flat-pack furniture instructions and juxtaposing them against the geometric forms in Gemma Slack’s avant-garde collection, we link this concept through to a fashion narrative of a demanding female constructing this abstract space.
