Under Senior Designer Janine Vigus, and in collaboration with designers Priscilla Brinshot and Gustavo Cordova, the team conceptualized, actualized, and installed materials for the exhibition. Before embarking on our journey, I asked some of my friends to take headshots of themselves and printed them out as masks. During our time in the Nordic countries I asked my friend who was traveling with me to pose with them in front of tourist landmarks. Each of the objects was researched for its semiotic meaning and history, and their collective relationships with each other. As a final product, I created a book in the format of a children's story that brings all these objects to life as characters of their own. These objects traveled with me for a duration of ten weeks and became very personal artifacts.
