To launch the project artist Arne Quinze unveiled a 200ft high digital sculpture that has been installed on top of the flame of the Statue of Liberty in New York. The Horrors and Discordo were invited to design and execute a digital design piece and soundtrack to be displayed in Rome. <img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/143611/1947120/thehorrorssketch.png" width="650" height="294" width_o="650" height_o="294" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/4/143611/1947120/thehorrorssketch_o.png" data-mid="10978067" border="0" align="left"/> More information Beck’s Green Boxes will be the worlds first Augmented Reality Gallery, an international commissioning project of unprecedented scale. Beck’s Green Boxes seek to commission hundred of new works over the next three years with Thirty internationally renowned creatives from the worlds of art, design, fashion and music have been commissioned to lead the project, including: Nick Knight, Sam Spiegel, The Horrors, Arne Quinze, Kate MccGwire, Shaniqwa Jarvis, Hussein Chalayan, Bompass & Parr, Lucky Me, Sage Vaughn, Petra Storrs, Warpaint and Hannah Barry. The Green Box Project is co-curated, commissioned and mentored by Nick Knight and Sam Spiegel. Commissioned work will only ever appear in Augmented Reality; both online and around thirty Green Boxes, which will appear in specific locations across seven international cities: London, Manchester, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Rome and Milan. Using a custom build Augmented Reality app, members of the public will be able to look at any of the green boxes through their smart phone to reveal the unique content contained within it. The Green Box Project Vimeo takeover was developed at Mother London. Filming, design and Vimeo execution was produced at Outside Line, London.
