Rather than doing a preachy, message-centric campaign, we’ve set out to create a lifestyle brand called GYT (Get Yourself Tested) with the lofty goal of making getting tested as engrained in youth culture as music, fashion, and social responsibility. GYT has partnered with some truly amazing individuals who embody the GYT lifestyle and understand the importance of social responsibility and knowing yourself while carving your own unique path in life. Directors Crobin, Howard Grandison and Patrick Cummings along with producer Adam Palmer, teamed up with legendary director/documentarian/cinematographer Lance Bangs to produce several inspiring TV spots along with eleven biography pieces featuring some of the art, sports, fashion and taste-maker elite. The likes of Love+Made, Bobby Hundreds, Levi Maestro, Buff Monster, No Age, Talib Kweli, A-Trak, Stevie Williams, Han Cholo, and many more, all lent their time and talents for this worthy cause. He recently finished shooting his first film and has returned to semi-unhealthy sleeping habits. He currently resides in the Clinton Hill area of Brooklyn. I've started writing again and have a bunch of new projects in the works. It's been 20 months since we wrapped production of my short, but long, film, Alan Smithee. Picture has been locked since September and we've been cranking on sound editing, music and mixing with the fine gentlemen down at Brooklyn Post. After that we will color correct and call it a day. Needless to say, we're very close. Stay tuned for updates. Later. 04/20/11 It's been ten long months since we wrapped the shooting of my film, Alan Smithee. I'm happy to report that the edit is coming along quite nicely. We're hoping to have the picture locked and move onto mixing, creating and composing all noises to be heard with my good friends over at Brooklyn Post. This is a very appropriate day in history to be posting about this. You'll see why... eventually. The Exhibition and Opening Party are Oct. 7th. 06/28/10 The AMTV Pareidolia ID's took home a Gold and a Bronze trophy at this years Promax|BDA Marketing and Design awards. 06/16/10 THAT'S A WRAP!!! After six long, hot, grueling days of shooting, Alan Smithee is in the can. This was single-handedly the greatest, most rewarding project/shoot I have ever worked on. I want to thank all of the cast, crew, friends, family and investors from the bottom of my heart. This film would be nothing without you and I am forever thankful. It's been a year and a half in the making, from conception to tail lights. Now on to post.
