I’m not saying I’m superior to all this, it’s the opposite, I just got scared of the amount of time I spent online, the amount of online friends I meet in real life and the amount of people who really care what the fuck I’m thinking. It’s all fake, no one takes pictures for the art of it, they take them in nightclubs or in the bathroom with a cellphone. You choose carefully which one makes you look the best, you post deep thoughts that you would never admit to anyone, you post music you think someone else will like, you want them to like it, to comment on it, you want more friends. An illusion of life, a very well scripted and edited life. Friends and pictures and music and funny videos and you’re the best you can be, on the internet. Speak up, hit someone, shout at the top of your lungs, not with fucking capslock, listen to the music instead of posting a fucking youtube video, go out and have fun without thinking you have to look happy because everyone is going to see the fucking pictures tomorrow. stop trying so hard to seem cool online and actually do something for yourself and not for the approval of others. Social networks are the exponential peer pressure. What you look like, who you’re dating, what you like. The important thing is what you are like.
