I created three studies, each with a rationale that stems from music. All three are presented here together with the client's chosen design. ◑ Study One <img src="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/stuuudy1.png" border="0" width="599" height="446" width_o="599" height_o="446" src_o="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/stuuudy1_o.png" align="left" /> The inspiration for this design comes from guitars. It has a dark wood texture to represent the finish of a guitar and a series of lines on the back of the card to represent guitar strings. The symbolism behind this option is that every time an employee picks up his/her ID card, they are automatically expressing their strong connection to music. ◑ Study Two <img src="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/Untitled-2.png" border="0" width="597" height="448" width_o="597" height_o="448" src_o="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/Untitled-2_o.png" align="left" /> The inspiration for this design comes from signed CDs. This design talks about the quality of employees in loudBox. They’re not just lovers of music, but talented musicians / participating members of the music industry. ◑ Study Three <img src="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/finaaal.png" border="0" width="600" height="448" width_o="600" height_o="448" src_o="http://payload16.cargocollective.com/1/0/24202/2628076/finaaal_o.png" align="left" /> The inspiration for this design comes from the idea of showing people ‘behind the scenes’. In this case, the people behind loudBox. It is minimalist, with two main points of focus on the id: the name and the branding of loudBox.
