<description>The Creativity Works is a multi-disciplinary agency offering a full range of services to the events industry.

The design for their website, which was to be based around an existing CMS system, needed to be simple but striking - which, given their corporate colours of yellow and black, wasn't too hard. I provided all the design for the site and templates for them to keep it updated through the CMS system.

<description>This project involved the visualisation of the inner working of a series of Atomic Spectrometers manufactured by ThermoFisher Scientific.

I consulted with the product design team at ThermoFisher who showed me the machines in action, explained the process involved and provided the CAD models used in production. Importing those files into 3DS Max I then set them on a lighting rig, textured the models and went through the animation process.

The finished animation shows the passage of a path of light through the machine and makes up part of a sales DVD to send to potential clients.

<description>This was part of an unused branding concept developed for a major technology brand earlier this year for their annual European technology showcase ISS. The theme of 'Breakthrough' identified with their core business of making scientific breakthroughs with their products as well as utilising an idea of 3D objects 'breaking through' flat surfaces.

This theme would be carried through the entire show; from subtle touches like the flat strips of colour bleeding off the 3D blocks image on printed material to the development of a stereoscopic 3D opening video where the audience experience a mix of 3D projection and live stage show.

<description>An additional requirement for the 'Breakthrough' event was the design and build of 60 bespoke exhibition stands. These stands are available to technology partners of the client and are based around 3 designs representing 3 tiers of sponsorship.

In previous years the designs have followed typical convention with a back wall for graphics/monitor, storage space and desk space. For this design though I wanted to offer something different so came up with the 'inside-out' concept.

Instead of the delegates approaching the stand and always having the barrier of a desk between them and the attendees we wrapped the desk around the outside leg of the stand so that delegates could be welcomed into the stand. This also gave each exhibitor their own branded space to work within and gave the show a much more open feel.

<description>iCould is a charity aimed at inspiring school leavers. The website has 100s of interviews with people from all walks of life detailing the, often circuitous, ways they found their career.

As part of a campaign to drive more traffic to the newly overhauled site I created a flash viral game based on the 'fortune teller' folding game we all (I hope) played at school.

The game replaced the traditional numbers and answers with a series of bizarre questions and answers taken from the interviews on the site, depending on your answers you are then directed to the relevant video and, who knows, some career inspiration!

To further this concept we also supplied a 'make your own' version where people can fill in their own questions and answers to send around to friends.

See more about this project here.

<description>Cambridge based design agency The District needed a CGI Visualisation for a new project being developed by their client. The final image was used across a wide range of media including postcard mailouts and huge banners draped on the building itself.

I have mentioned before on this site that I’m a big fan of architecture, so every ArchViz job is a real treat for me and this one was no exception. I worked closely with both the architects and designers, creating an accurate image of what the completed building will look like right down to the window fittings, sitework and plants and shrubs.

<description>Architectural Visualisation projects are typically of buildings that are still in the planning stage – building a CGI Illustration of a new building really helps in visualising how the finished thing will look and how it will fit into its surroundings, it is also an excellent way to tweak fine details.

For this project though it was a little different as the building in question, the UK headquarters of a international pharmaceutical company, was already built and had been for some time…so why the need for a visual? In this instance the visual was part of an animation project in collaboration with a video production company who were providing some marketing videos to the company in question, the introduction of these videos was to feature a 3D flythrough of this striking, modernist building.
