<description>Large-scale ceramic glaze-painting, depicting a television screen on a scrambled channel. Consisting of 54 modules, the work can be seen both as a whole and as 54 individual pieces.

On close range, the beauty of the cracks and imperfections are clearly visible, and from a distance the image looks like an explosion of coloured waves on a night sky.

Made of high-fired white clay, glazed numerous times and mounted on wooden boards. Exhibited in Molde, Norway (2007) and Oslo, Norway (2008).

Measures 250 x 370 cm.
Each individual tile is 40 x 40 cm.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/Kjeldaas08-30.JPG" width="670" height="448" width_o="2048" height_o="1370" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/Kjeldaas08-30_o.JPG" data-mid="5365236" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 011.jpg" width="670" height="502" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 011_o.jpg" data-mid="5365255" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 007.jpg" width="670" height="502" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 007_o.jpg" data-mid="5365264" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 012.jpg" width="670" height="502" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 012_o.jpg" data-mid="5365277" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 017.jpg" width="670" height="502" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 017_o.jpg" data-mid="5365283" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 034.jpg" width="670" height="502" width_o="2048" height_o="1536" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112570/molde 034_o.jpg" data-mid="5365285" border="0" align="left"/&#62;</description>

<description>These ceramic drawings were exhibited in 2005 at Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo.

Depicting serious-looking models with a hair problem, they try to use humour and fashion references as way of reflecting on society's image of the modern woman.

Titles are derived from actual hair products; Curl Reviver, Sleek Controller, Easy Holder, Style Corrector, among others.

Formats are a slightly bigger than fashion magazines, approximately 25 x 45 cm.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/triptyk hair.jpg" width="670" height="326" width_o="2048" height_o="996" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/triptyk hair_o.jpg" data-mid="5346200"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/Style Corrector 2005.jpg" width="670" height="973" width_o="2048" height_o="2974" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/Style Corrector 2005_o.jpg" data-mid="5346201"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/curl reviver 2005.jpg" width="670" height="1000" width_o="2048" height_o="3059" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/curl reviver 2005_o.jpg" data-mid="5346210"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/easy holder 2005.jpg" width="670" height="1000" width_o="2048" height_o="3059" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/easy holder 2005_o.jpg" data-mid="5346212"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/texture igniter 2005.jpg" width="670" height="1000" width_o="2048" height_o="3059" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112651/texture igniter 2005_o.jpg" data-mid="5346214"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>The Infinite Loop
Acrylic paintings

These works are actually works about work.
By using professional cleaning tools as brushes, the paintings accumulate a large number of paint layers. They document the traces of the cleaning lady, the repetetive movements that in reality is the opposite of painting - as cleaning is removing other peoples traces.

For hundreds of millions of people - most of them women - this kind of work is their destiny. They have no chioce but to wash floors every day of their life.
This is my tribute to the invisible workers and the unnoticed housewifes of the world.

The bottom layer on the canvases has scattered glitter and girlish pink colours. As the paint layers accumulates over time, the glitter disappears in greys and browns, but are at some point in the process washed to come out again.

All canvases are painted lying on the floor, and thus accumulating lint, fibers and general floor dust into the paint.

The project title derives from the actual washing process - when washing with the round mop correctly, one should make a contiunos row of loops resembling a tilted number 8; the infinity sign.

Dimensions vary from 80 x 80 cms to 180 x 200 cms.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 4a copy.jpg" width="670" height="428" width_o="2048" height_o="1310" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 4a copy_o.jpg" data-mid="5345235" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 1a copy.jpg" width="670" height="448" width_o="2048" height_o="1370" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 1a copy_o.jpg" data-mid="5345238" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 3 copy.jpg" width="670" height="472" width_o="2048" height_o="1442" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop 3 copy_o.jpg" data-mid="5345241" border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop floorpaint 2.JPG" width="670" height="1000" width_o="2048" height_o="3059" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/2/89012/1112458/infinite loop floorpaint 2_o.JPG" data-mid="5345246" border="0" align="left"/&#62;	Fullscreen

		<description>The Nism-series

Small, ceramic sculptures referring to the overwhelmingly feminine dominance of the arts and crafts-field and the beauty- and fashion industry.

The objects are trying to be the opposite of large scale, architectural masculine sculpture.

To some extent they are an image of the feminine self-conciousness and low ambitions, as well as an image of the female body awareness and the unevitable decay (with which the womans value diminishes, according to the mass media).

Thematically, and with their proportions and materials, the objects risk being regarded as too expressive, non-intellecual hobby products.

Technique: Highfired and glazed white clay.
