Yves Saint Laurent once said  "I'm rich, so incomparably rich from all I lived". And so is the brand — full of sensual, seductive, and subversive experiences which long for a translation into a contemporary  – interactive, manifestation.

We envisioned the experience hub as a place where people meet and get lost by floating through a labyrinth of brand activities, stories, products and art pieces – where time is suspended and desire arise by new connections, relations, and associations between the experiences living inside of abstract, infinite cases.

The pitch concept was developed in close collaboration with Pierre-Françoise Hagège , Romain Bouchereau, and Stephan Obadia.

Constructed for Deconstruction. With the help of a technical drawing we have visualized how brutally precise land mines accomplish their job. The illustration captures the perfectly planned explosion in time of a child from Western Sahara playing football and a woman from Afghanistan drawing water from a well. The action group landmine.de campaigns for the ban of land mines made in Chile, South Korea, Turkey, USA and used mainly in Afghanistan and West Sahara.

On a Monday morning in December we met the team from the Dutch photographer Carli Hermès at the production company next to the Barceloneta Beach, the base and starting point for the entire shoot. 

After an exiting casting and location scouting on Tuesday we drove early the next morning to an amazing Beach called Sitges 30 minutes away from Barcelona in order to shoot the beach episode. Despite the worrying forecast we had 20° sunshine during the whole week.

On Friday we shoot the last episode in which Helen meet Hugo in the streets of the beautiful crotchet Borne. That was our last day. After the shoot it started to rain and we had our farewell dinner at the harbour.

The characters within the experience 1 1/2 Love Stories represent Leica's hero products and link to the product staging where the user can learn about the specific features. 

Leica M-System
Hugo stands for the brand's tradition and represents therefore the traditional M-System. He is the master of the anticipation and intensive moments. 

Leica Compact Cameras
Helen is the brand in change, in between the tradition an the future of the brand, in between Hugo and Alexander and represents Leica's compact cameras.

Leica S-System
Alexander is the future of the brand and not a professional photographer. Instead he loves to spend his leisure time in the nature and with his family and to capture those precious moment in high quality with Leica's S-System cameras.

Taking photos with a Leica is a moment of extraordinary intensity. In order to reveal the most exclusive experience of photography we have created 1 1/2 Love Stories. An interactive story which gives the user the possibility to perceive the intensive moments through the eyes of the protagonists and to change the perspective between them.

The story consists of three short episodes. They start and end in the lobby of a gorgeous hotel somewhere beyond ordinary where the user encounters the four protagonists Hugo, Helen, Alexander, and Ben. Animated photography stages the stories as frozen moments in time. The project was realized in collaboration with the photographer Carli Hermès, the film director Rob Chiu, and the designer Ben Reubold.

On March, 9 2008 the site was awarded as "THE FWA Site of the Day" followed by Silver at the German Designers Club, High design quality at red dot design award, Bronze at the New York Festival Advertising Awards, Winner at the iF communication design award etc.

Urban Playground is an interactive film experience created to introduce Toyota's new Urban Cruiser. The user is challenged to ride the Urban Cruiser through an obstacle course in a car park and reach the top before the day breaks by mastering three-storey.

On the first level the driver collects floating sound clouds and avoids bad sounds appearing on the way. The second level reveals the roominess features of the spacious SUV. Finally the third level encourages the driver to create beautiful patterns by steering the car accordingly to the beat and save the art piece as a screensaver.
